But surely it's just a spicy cinnamon flavor right? They wouldn't actually put Tabasco in a jelly bean would they?
Of course they would! Those folks at Jelly Belly are all about authentic flavorings. And right there on the ingredients list is Tabasco brand pepper paste made of vinegar, red pepper and salt.
I liked the container it came in too. It's got its own bottle and everything.
And the taste? When you first bite into it, it's very sweet and I was wondering if it would have any heat to it at all. I needn't have worried. As soon as I got through the sweet outer shell there was a punch of heat coming from the red pepper and vinegar. You could feel a little burn going down your throat and it was exactly what I'd imagine a Tabasco flavor jelly bean should taste like.
If you're a fan of Tabasco or spicy candies, pick up a bottle! They were tasty!
