The Balcony is a fantastic place to not only people watch, but also to watch Fantasmic and Fireworks.
A New Orleans tradition is to include your initials in the railing. You can see in gold that WD and RD are included on the rail here.
We learned that the stairs were added after the fact for the Disney Gallery and were never meant to be included in the original design. Otherwise, why would you put the stairs so close to the balcony in this photo.
The patio was a place to just relax and get away from it all. During the daytime you could hear Pirates of the Caribbean music playing. Occasionally you'd hear the noises from Tarzan's treehouse, especially when the Sabor, the leopard, growls.
This door leads to a back stage area that used to be the hallway in the Disney Gallery.
Just behind this door is another hallway that is isolated from the Dream Suite. This is where the hostesses stay.
At night, fireflies come out on the patio.
