I'm not sure about her choice of location though...
She built her nest right around head level in the tree beside our front door. So now every time we leave or come home, she pokes her head up then flies away.
We try to be quiet and calm, but so far, she's still extremely wary. Here's one such time when she flew off. I was able to get a picture of her nest.
And was even able to look down into it to see two tiny little eggs. They're probably the size of a Jelly Belly jelly bean.
But even if she's scared away, she always comes back after a few minutes. In a couple of weeks we should have a pair of baby hummingbirds! I'll be sure to share updates as things progress!
