Chocolate and Caramel Duo KitKat

Mmm! Another tasty treat to try! This time it's the Nestle KitKat Caramel Duo. Our friends Jonathan and Lacey visited Australia over the Christmas break and brought back something new for me.

I've tried a good many flavors of KitKats, mostly during our trip to Japan. Anything from Dark Chocolate, Edamame, Pumpkin Cheesecake, Mont Blanc, Cherry Blossom, Green Tea, and Strawberry flavors.

This one seemed a bit more normal. Chocolate. Caramel. KitKat. What's not to like?

 It looks just like a normal KitKat.

Except there is a mix of two different chocolates. The bottom layer is the regular chocolate, while the top layer is a caramel chocolate. 

Inside it's the regular KitKat wafers with no caramel filling. 

So is this new flavor a hit or a miss?
Well it doesn't exactly taste like caramel because it's chocolate flavored to be caramel, but that doesn't mean it's bad. Actually Theresa and I liked it quite a bit. It's got a much more complex flavor than the regular KitKat and if I had my preference, I'd pick it over the regular flavor any day.
Here's hoping we see it in the states some day!
