Ian's celebrating his very first Easter. The Easter Bunny brought him a basket, but no candy for him. Instead he's getting toys and something I think he's really going to enjoy, solid food!
He's a pretty smiley guy.
Who likes to put everything in his mouth right now.
He's working on sitting up by himself.
Thank goodness he's really flexible.
And when he gets tired, he rolls over onto his back.
Of course that's usually on a nice soft blanket or the carpet. He wasn't too sure about the grass.
We all headed to an Easter service hosted by Journey of Faith.
After the service, Jacob, Jonathan and Lacey joined us for Easter dinner. Jacob had a couple presents for each of us.
For Theresa, Ian and I, there was a basket with lots of tasty candy and mostly blue eggs. There was also a special egg for Ian with $20.13 with a note saying it was for Ian's college fund. Thanks Jacob!
The Bakers got a basket full of mostly pink eggs with a special egg with $20.14 for their future daughter's college fund.
Ian happened to be tired around lunchtime, so he went down for a nap while everyone else enjoyed a fantastic Easter lunch made by Theresa's mom.
After Ian woke up, it was time to start digging into his basket. Everyone surrounded him and I'm sure he was wondering what was going on.
What's this on the end of Mommy's finger?
I'm not sure, but I have to taste it.
Trying to decide if he likes it or not.
And it's a success! Ian loves sweet potatoes! He was smacking his lips, and then opening his mouth wide whenever T came close with food.
And if you're curious, there's a video of the whole thing too.
I like Ian when he was a baby
