Ian was certainly excited to decorate.

She'd grab the snowflakes from the box one at a time, then pile them onto this section of the tree, and she was so happy with herself.

And made sure to give him a hug and kiss.
My mom made these ornaments way back when I was little. A little clothespin soldier.
And these clothespin reindeer too.
Finally it was time for the star. That's always my job.
And I usually get some help.

I love this trick you can do with a tripod and a zoom lens. It's an explosion of lights!
And it's not just the tree. The kids love having an advent calendar filled with treats. Even though we always do it after dinner, Ian asks about it as soon as he wakes up.

I was wondering if you’d do the light explosion again. I may try it on our tree this week!
