It's Spring Break so we're headed to Florida! And we're meeting all of our Michigan family there!
We spent a fantastic 8 days there, and you'd think we'd be at Walt Disney World a lot, but actually we spent more time at the rental house having fun with each other. Of the 8 days, only 2 were at WDW. Let's go!
Showcasing all the tales and adventures of Joe, Theresa, Ian, and Alli Flowers.

Mickey's 90th Birthday Celebration Cake at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel
In celebration of Mickey's 90th birthday, a giant cake showed up in the lobby of the Disney's Grand Californian Hotel sometime around March 21st. The Disney bakers have been keeping busy! There was a giant Halloween Pump-"cake" patch in October. And of course the now traditional "Grand" Gingerbread house for Christmas.
Though this is the smallest of the bunch, I'd say it's the cutest. In the following pictures we'll look at all the details.
Should you want to make your own celebration cake, you'll need
Wait... 90 Hidden Mickeys!!! That's crazy!
I made a post showing the locations of all 13 Hidden Mickeys on the Halloween Pump-"cake" Patch.
And then another with the locations of all 25 Hidden Mickeys on the "Grand" Gingerbread House.
But 90 Hidden Mickeys. You're on your own.

International Cookie Taste Test
Jacob recently took a trip into Mexico and came back with a couple new cookies for us to try. Theresa and I went to the Asian market over the weekend and picked up cookies of our own. Combine them all and we've got an international cookie taste test. The kids were excited.

Planning our St Patrick's Day Leprechaun Trap
Inspired by Phineas and Ferb, I wanted to have a fun planning, design and build session with the kids. Seeing as how St. Patrick's Day was coming up, we had the perfect opportunity. Time to make a Leprechaun trap!
First up is plan and design. We tossed around a few different ideas. Ian had an idea of a net that drops down over the leprechaun and a claw that grabs him. He's got a sad face in the middle of that net.
Alli had the leprechaun surrounded by lava. He doesn't seem too happy in there either. Love the creativity.

Celebrating Pi Day!
Because we'll use any excuse for a celebration, today we're celebrating Pi Day!
March 14, or 3/14 as we write it in the States, is known as Pi day. That's because of course 3.14 are the first significant digits of Pi π.
I was briefly wondering if 31/4 (written with the day before the month like many other countries do) was Pi Day for the rest of the world, but, since April only has 30 days, I guess March 14th is Pi Day for everyone!
First we learned a little bit about Pi.
And then we celebrated with pie!

A Fun Sunday at Disneyland including Bacon Dole Whip
Has it really been a month since we were at Disneyland? For us, that's hard to believe. But life gets busy. Between out-of-town visitors, tee ball, and work, it's been hectic. Time to change that!
Our goal is always to get to the park around opening, and we have varying levels of success at that. Today we did not meet that goal. With the time-change over night, the kids' sleep schedules are shifted an hour later. Instead of getting up at 6:20am, it was 7:20am. With the park opening at 8am, there was no way we'd get there at opening.
Thankfully the roads were clear and the parking garage was empty, and we walked through the gates at 5 til 9. Hi Lucky!
