An Ohana day plus the first ever TikiLandDay at the Disneyland Resort

Happy Sunday! It's going to be a fun time at Disneyland today.
First, we're in an Ohana kind of mood this week. More on that after the jump.
Plus it's the first ever TikiLandDay at Disneyland. Read on!

Pop-Tarts Cereal and Pop-Tarts Bites

Never one to pass up a new taste test, I saw these on the shelves of the grocery store and picked them up.
For me, Pop-Tarts are never something you have when you're eating breakfast at home. They're always something that's an out the door afterthought and usually raw. Now there's two new offerings. A Pop-Tarts cereal and new Pop-Tarts Bites. Both came in Frosted Strawberry and Brown Sugar Cinnamon, so of course we've got to get those regular Pop-Tarts to taste along with them.

Easter Egg Hunt

It's been a very busy day hunting Easter Eggs already, but we're not quite done yet.
The kids spent the morning combing the Disneyland Resort, finding eggs at Downtown Disney, DCA, and Disneyland. Now it's time to find them at home.

2019 Disney Eggstravaganza - Disneyland

It's the last of our 2019 Disney Eggstravaganza Egg Hunts. We've been to the Disney Store in our local mall, Downtown Disney, California Adventure, and now we're wrapping everything up with the hunt at Disneyland.

2019 Disney Eggstravaganza - Disney California Adventure Park

It's time for the second of the three Disney Egg Hunts we're doing today. The first was in Downtown Disney. Now we're in Disney California Adventure Park.
All over the park there's lots of these photo ops, but this is the only place we saw 4 eggs all together. A family photo is a must.

2019 Disney Eggstravaganza - Downtown Disney District

Happy Easter, or rather Hoppy Easter, from Disneyland! Today is the day of our big Disneyland Easter Egg Hunt!
Earlier we'd done the Disney Store Magical Egg Hunt Adventure in our local mall and now it's time to head to the Disneyland Resort and take care of all the rest!

Meeting the Easter Bunny at Disneyland and getting interrupted by Cruella de Ville

The kids adore the Easter Bunny and Disneyland gives them to perfect opportunity to see him. And you never know what kind of surprises await you.

Peeps Cereal

As we were wandering the grocery section of Target, I saw these staring at me. Peeps is making a cereal! Peeps is making a cereal!
I love Peeps. Soft marshmallow covered in granulated sugar. What's not to like about that?

Pink chicks, check. Blue bunnies, check. Let's eat!

Spring Oreos and Easter Oreos

More Oreos? Yes please.
Just in time for Spring, Oreo has released two new styles. While the filling is dyed different colors, they're the standard vanilla creme.

Spring Oreo have yellow filling along with 3 new cookie designs.
The Easter Egg Oreos are shaped like eggs, which is pretty fun, and have 4 unique designs.

2019 Spring Dapper Day

Twice a year at Disneyland, the unofficial Dapper Day has everyone dressing in their finest. It's an opportunity to enjoy Disneyland the way you imagine it was years ago, when people treated it as something special.

Dumbo and Donuts

It's the weekend! That means fun times! Today we're headed to the movies, but first we've got to eat breakfast.

Deep Fried Twinkies

We just tried Hostess Honey Bun cereal and donettes cereal. Maybe we're on a Hostess kick right now.
This one has to be good right? Deep Fried Twinkies! And a regular Twinkie to compare it to.

They come frozen, but after 8 minutes in the toaster oven they smelled amazing.
Just missing that powdered sugar dusting like it shows on the box.

M&M Vote for your favorite 2019, Mexican Jalapeño, Thai Coconut, English Toffee, plus Hazelnut and Marshmallow

Once again M&M has asked us the public to vote for our favorite M&M flavor, with the winner earning a place on store shelfs permanently.
Back in 2016, we tasted Chili Nut, Honey Nut, and Coffee Nut, with Coffee Nut being the ultimate winner. Then in 2018, it was Crunchy Mint, Crunch Raspberry, and Crunchy Espresso, where Crunchy Mint topped them all.
So, who will be victorious this year? Will it be Mexican Jalapeño, Thai Coconut, or English Toffee?

And it's certainly not like the time we tried 17 different M&M flavors, but I did find a couple more that we haven't tasted before.
Hazelnut M&Ms were announced on March 26th, just days before we'd planned this taste test, so I was very excited when I found them in the store.
And those Marshmallow M&Ms are a special easter exclusive at Target.

Hostess Cereal Taste Test - Honey Bun cereal and Donettes cereal

Taste tests are always fun and today we've got a good one.
Grandpa loves just about everything Hostess makes, but his favorite has to be the Honey Bun. So I was especially excited to see two new cereals from Post celebrating Hostess Donettes and Hostess Honey Bun.

And when you're testing the cereals, you've got to try what they're based on too.

2019 Disney Store Magical Egg Hunt Adventure

Taking a break from the old blog posts, it's time for something new!
For years now at Disneyland we've been participating in the Eggstravaganza, finding hidden eggs in Disneyland, California Adventure, and Downtown Disney.
This year they're adding something new! Now the egg hunt has come to your local Disney Store in the mall. I was a little curious how they were going to pull it off in each location.

Spring Break - Disney Day - Alli's First Haircut, Magic Kingdom, and Animal Kingdom

It's a special day today at Disney's Magic Kingdom. Today is the day Alli gets her very first haircut ever!
Ever since Ian got his first haircut here 2 years ago, I knew that I wanted to get Alli's first haircut here too. I made sure to call ahead and make reservations weeks in advance.

Spring Break - Disney Day - Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Epcot

It's a long blog entry today because it was a long day at the parks!
Today we're on a mission to visit a whole bunch of Disney parks. Why? Well it's our goal to visit all 12 Disney parks in the whole world in a 12 month span. We cranked out the 4 Asian parks back in October. The two back home in Anaheim are a given. This trip we'll be getting all 4 parks here in Orlando. And later this summer we hope to cross the two off Disneyland Paris too!
