Frosted Strawberry Donettes

For our next "didn't quite make it before valentine's" taste test, we're trying out Frosted Strawberry Donettes.

These are pretty much identical to the regular chocolate donettes but the donut inside is strawberry flavored.

We've got visitors! My brother and his family are in town! While they're here we're going to Disneyland!

Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day! We're celebrating just 1 day late, for reasons that will become clear in future blog posts.
But both kids have been looking forward to this day for a long time. Not just because of the candy that's associated with Valentines, but also for our annual Valentine meal.

Oreo Taste Test - Caramel Coconut Oreos and Chocolate Marshmallow Oreos

Somehow Colorado gets special treats a lot sooner than I find them here in California.
I was happy that Megan brought me some Oreos that I have found yet.
We do love Oreos, so I was excited to try these new Caramel Coconut Oreos and Chocolate Marshmallow Oreos.

Both were only available in Family Size.

A late night Disneyland visit with Megan

Is the Disney day over yet? No!
Theresa took the kids home, but my sister-in-law Megan and I are going to stay for a little while longer!

A Disneyland visit with Megan

Aunt Megan is here visiting us in California. She was supposed to leave on Saturday, but the weather is so nice she decided to extend her visit. What do we usually do on Sundays? Go to Disneyland!
Megan loves Disney too, so she's coming along too! She's hoping to have a better day than that rainy Thanksgiving Day we spent together at Disneyland.

It is an absolutely gorgeous day here in Southern California. The calendar might say February but the beach feels like it's summer. The thermometer is showing 81 degrees with blue skies and a bright sun.
