For this week of Halloween Treats, we've got to have a Halloween Cereal to go with it! Last year we had the three Monster cereals from General Mills. Frankenberry, Count Chocula, and Boo Berry.
This year, I was happy to see Kelloggs had some other Halloween options available to us. They've given us Froot Loops, Chocolate Frosted Flakes, and Apple Jacks all with Spoooky Marshmallows.
Tonight we're trying a delicious Candy Corn popcorn from Popcornopolis! And it's National Candy Corn Day! Perfect!
It's Halloween and for the second year, Mountain Dew is bringing back their mystery flavor, VooDew!
Last year I had a really hard time finding VooDew, but this year Theresa saw it on the Walmart shelves the first week I started looking for it.

So far it's been Mint Juleps and Mickey Beignets, Marshmallow Wands, Caramel Apples, and Chocolate Apples, Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bars and Mickey Ice Cream Sandwiches, Napa Rose with their Signature Pizzetta, Truffled Mac & Cheese, Filet Mignon, and bread basket, Smoked Turkey Legs and Chili Lime Buttered Corn on the Cob, and Corn Dogs and Churros.
Today's Disney Treat isn't going to be nearly as involved as some of those other ones. We're going to make Mickey shaped Rice Krispy Treats!
Just a short and sweet one for today. Ian lost his fourth tooth! After waiting nearly a year between his 2nd and 3rd teeth coming out, this 4th one came out just 2 months later.

While reading through past adventures with the kids at bedtime, we were reading through the stories about Alli's first visit to Walt Disney World back in 2016. We read about the flight there, then our first day at the house on Easter. The next day was Disney Springs, and then the day after that was... missing!
Oh my! I know I've got a few stories in the queue, but this is one that I didn't even realize was missing! I enjoyed going through all these old pictures and videos of when the kids were super little. Let's try to get caught back up with this one. Hopefully my memories of 4 year old events is still good.
We'd intended to go to the theme parks today, but we're determine to get to a water park this week, and looking at the forecast today is our best bet. Ian and Alli don't sleep in our bed, but I guess they made it there at some point.
After trying the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Ice Cream a few weeks ago, I was happy to see another cereal ice cream on the Walmart shelf. This time it's Lucky Charms Ice Cream (though I guess technically it's a frozen dairy dessert)!
Today is Sunday, so it's time for another pizza made at home! It's fortunate that today also happens to be National Sausage Pizza Day! That makes it pretty easy for me to figure out what what to make today.
Today we get to do an Arizona Taste Test, thanks to a friend from Arizona sending us some treats. But first, an update on Alli. Back in August, we were having dinner and hot soup spilled on Alli. She ended up spending 3 days in the hospital with deep 2nd degree burns on her chest. Well it's been a couple months since that happened and her recovery is going great! Her skin is nearly completely healed! We're still applying lotion multiple times a day to help the skin stay moisturized, but it's looking great.

Aren't we a little early for the holidays? Maybe a little bit, but when Theresa saw this ice cream in the Walmart Frozen section, she had to have the peppermint. Since there's 2 other flavors I insisted we turn it into a taste test! The kids made sure to wear either Christmas shirts or holiday colors.
And if we're trying ice cream, we've got to have the person who likes to have a little bit of ice cream every day. Grandpa!
Sunday is Pizza Day! Today we're having a style of pizza similar to one I had when Theresa and I were wandering around Venice back in 2007. Food shops there had giant trays of pizza at room temperature, and once you ordered something, they'd pull off a slice and then go toast it. It's Sicilian style pizza!

First a recap of past years. They've been doing this since 2013 and I've been along for the ride ever since.
In 2013 there was Chicken and Waffle, Sriracha, and Cheesy Garlic Bread.
2014 brought Cheddar Bacon Mac & Cheese, Cappuccino, Mango Salsa, and Wasabi Ginger.
2015 had West Coast Truffle Fries, New York Reuben, Greektown Gyro, and Southern Biscuits and Gravy.
2016 showcased Chinese Szechaun Chicken, Brazilian Picanha, Greek Tzatziki, and Indian Tikka Masala.
2017 had Everything Bagel with cream cheese, Crispy Taco, and Fried Green Tomato.
In 2018 there was an incredible 12 regional flavors. West Coast Truffle Fries (returning), Thai Sweet Chili, Chile Con Queso, Fried Pickles with Ranch, Bacon Wrapped Jalepeno Popper (returning), Fried Green Tomatoes (returning), Deep Dish Pizza, Cajun Spice, Ketchup (returning), Pimento Cheese, Chesapeake Bay Crab Spice, and New England Lobster Roll.
For 2019 we had Lay's Turn up the Flavor Music Icons with Wavy Electric Lime and Sea Salt (inspired by Pop Music), Flamin' Hot Dill Pickle Remix (inspired by Hip Hop), and Kettle Cooked Classic Beer Cheese (inspired by Rock and Roll).
This year, inspired by Flavor Icons restaurants Lay's has brought us five new(ish) flavors! Kettle Cooked New York Style Pizza, Nashville Hot Chicken, Philly Cheesesteak, Carnitas Street Tacos, and Chile Relleno.
Theresa has seen these up in my snack cabinet and has been wanting to crack them open. Let's get to tasting!
