Making Big Wok at Home, plus Sheri's Berries for dessert

Over the summer, we made food from so many different restaurants ourselves, it was bound to happen that we'd end up liking a bunch of them. One of those that's in our rotation is Big Wok. Tonight we're having that, plus a special dessert sent to us from some friends of Sheri's Berries!

Theresa said the ingredients for tonight's dinner are just too photogenic. I have to take a picture of them. It's simple enough to open a package of pre-cooked noodles, thinly slice some beef, chop up garlic for garlic water, make dragon red pepper sauce, squeeze some lemon water, and then chop up broccoli, baby corn, red pepper, mushrooms, zucchini, onions, and pineapple.

The kids do love Big Wok at home.

They can make a bowl full of whatever veggies, fruits, and sauces they want.

Manning the stovetop with 4 burners all going at once. It's nice that everyone can get exactly what they like.

Baby corn, pineapple, and meat for Ian. Broccoli, mushrooms, red peppers, baby corn, and zucchini for Alli. She's a fan of all vegetables.

Chi is showing off her plate. It's very colorful.

Theresa was happy with her sauce mix. Something I still need to work on for this at-home version of Big Wok.

A plate full of meat, pineapple, onions, and noodles. Yum!

For dessert, we've got a special treat in store. Our friends from Candlelight sent us these delicious chocolate covered strawberries. They look fantastic.

And it's not like the kids needed any motivation to finish their dinner, but this helped encourage those last couple bites. With 12 strawberries and 6 of us, everyone got to try one of each flavor. The berries were really big and fresh. I enjoyed the white chocolate Christmas tree ones, while the rest of the table liked the chocolate with red stripes the most. Both were delicious though! Thanks to our Candlelight friends!

  1. Delicious dinner made-to-order...quick hands to man 4 different pans at once on the stovetop!...like the variety of different ingredients (especially the veggies) to choose from...only thing missing are the chopsticks (can't "properly" eat a Big Wok meal without chopsticks :-) ) Those chocolate-covered strawberries look too pretty to eat :-)...what a wonderful, yummy surprise from your Candlelight friends. Happy New Year! EOM

    1. Agreed! I'd heard the commercials on the radio before, but this is the first time I've had Shari's Berries. And they were delicious!
