National Chocolate Cake Day - January 27th

Today is National Chocolate Cake Day! Theresa loves making cakes for the family, so she was excited to make us all a delicious dessert today.

Theresa says that we don't need any other cake pans besides a bundt pan. Making a cake in this is super simple and she's got her recipe down.
Alli is always eager to help out making cakes, and she knows exactly how to grease the pan so the cake won't stick.

Helping mommy measure out the different ingredients into the batter.

Then giving it a quick mix with the hand mixer.

While it was baking, the house was smelling fantastic. When it came out, it was super fluffy! Theresa and Alli did a great job with this one. And it didn't stick to the pan at all!

Mixing up some cream cheese frosting.

Just a little bit of frosting.

Whoa! That's a lot of frosting! It's National Chocolate Cake Day Theresa, not National Frosting Day with cake bits underneath.

After dinner, and after our nightly walk, the kids were excited to tuck in.

Thanks Theresa and Alli! The cake was super fluffy and moist. Maybe one of the best you've made!

  1. Theresa wanted to make it "National Chocolate Cake w/ Cream Cheese Frosting Day"!!...not a bad idea :-) A fluffy and moist chocolate cake is already delicious on its own...the frosting is just "icing on the cake"! Yummy cake, Theresa & Alli! EOM
