Cocoa Pebbles Ice Cream

Earlier we tried Fruity Pebbles Ice Cream, and now it's time for the Cocoa Pebbles counterpart!

While Fred Flintstone is the mascot for Fruity Pebbles, Barney Rubble is the spokesman for Cocoa Pebbles. We'll be having the ice cream along with Cocoa Pebbles cereal.

It's the 50th anniversary of both Fruity Pebbles and Cocoa Pebbles. I like the colorful lid on this one too.

The ice cream isn't completely chocolate like I would have thought. It's cereal milk (mostly vanilla) and chocolate flavored. Again there's Bedrock Bits instead of cereal bits. The bedrock bits are like the melting candy disks.

I'd say the ice cream looks pretty similar to the package. The cereal looks even more chocolatey than the package.

I asked if the kids if they wanted to do another taste test, and Avery was very excited when I said it was an ice cream taste test.

The ice cream is pretty tasty. It's a chocolatey ice cream, though I wouldn't guess it's Cocoa Pebbles. Not like the Fruity Pebbles.

Mom tax.

Between the two, Patrick prefers the Fruity Pebbles ice cream.

Alli likes them both.

And I think it's even better when you mix the ice cream and the cereal together. It adds a great crispiness to the ice cream, even better than the bedrock bits!

  1. (Oops...missed seeing this post until now) I agree that adding the Cocoa Pebbles is a nice addition to the ice cream...makes it even more chocolatey :-) Since the Cocoa Pebbles ice cream is chocolate flavored, I'd have to give it the edge over the Fruity Pebbles one! The ice cream packaging is very colorful, like the Fruity Pebbles one...they did a nice job on that aspect for both flavors. EOM
