The Flowers Explore - Hershey's Chocolate World Pt 2 - 2021/08/28

Today we're visiting the Hershey's Chocolate World in Hershey Pennsylvania. We've already visited the Hershey's Factory Tour, but there's a whole other part of Hershey Chocolate World to explore!

Hershey's Chocolate World is a giant shopping opportunity for all your Hershey needs!

This is Hershey's Largest Candy Store in the world!

And if we're in the Largest Hershey store in the world, you'd hope they'd have some of the largest candy bars here too! They didn't disappoint! The World's Largest Hershey Milk Chocolate bar is 5 pounds, and it's exclusive to Hershey's Chocolate World! That's $8 per pound.

Oh man, I wish I had this 1 pound Hershey's Kiss back in December 2020! I compared 6 different Hershey's Kiss sizes, but I was missing the 1 pound version. D'oh!

It's interesting to see how a lot of my pages rank on Google. I show up on the first page of the search results for many, and on some of them, I'm the #1 search result. If you search Kisses Sizes you'll see flowerstales.com and lots of pictures!

There was a disappointment with the "World's Largest" Kit Kat. The package looks amazing and I thought it would be pretty amazing to try! But after picking it up and reading the label... Huh? This is 2 pounds of snack size Kit Kats? That's like 64 snack-size Kit Kats. So if I collected 100 snack-size Kit Kats that would mean I have the World Largest Kit Kat?
Right next to the Kit Kats are the World's Largest Reese's Peanut Butter Cup. I did happen to get one of those when I tried all 8 different size Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.

And if you search for Reese's Sizes you'll see my page too!

We do love Reese's! Like when we tried 53 unique Reese's products! That's a lot there too, but I doubt you could find all 53 here.

Oh man. That would be a lot of Hershey's Syrup. Unfortunately it was just a bank for coins.

A Cookie Pizza in a box? I love making pizza at home! I chose to do a Hershey's S'mores pizza while we were in Hershey Pennsylvania.

Now that's what I'm talking about! An exclusive flavor that's only sold here at Hershey Chocolate World! We'll be taste testing this one special!

Kit Kat Fruity Cereal flavor? Done it!
Kit Kat Key Lime Pie? Yup!
Kit Kat Lemon Crisp? Oh yes, we did that one too!

And if you're wanting apparel, they've got you "covered".

There's so many different pairs of socks available! 2 pairs for $20.

They weigh almost as much as her!

And if you're hungry, there's some special stops you can visit. You can get a Hershey Milkshake with Kit Kats or Hershey Kisses.

Or what about a S'mores milkshake?

In the middle of all of the merchandise is a small jungle, and in that jungle are planted Theobroma cacao, the Cocoa Bean Tree. Cool!

As part of our Adventure 3 pass, we're going to watch a 4D Chocolate Movie! When you buy your ticket, you pick a showtime.

The kids were excited. While we wait in the lobby we looked at all the different pictures of Hershey, Reese, and Kiss, all around the world.

Oh interesting. I sent a text to the number letting them know our names and how it was our first time here.

Next, Hershey, Kiss, and Reese, all appeared on the monitors letting us know that they've got a problem.

There's no way they'll be able to fix it without our help. At night, there seems to be a problem with someone getting into the factory after hours. They need our help to figure out what is going on.

Will we help? Yes! With our glasses, we headed into the theater.

There's cameras covering the different areas of the Hershey Factory, including one pointed at the audience. We could wave and see ourselves on the big screen.

I hope it's not too scary.
Reese appeared on the screen and it looks like it's not a recording. He's actually interacting with us here in the audience! Reese gave a callout to a few different people in the audience including us! He named us all and asked us to be Special Investigators for this mystery.

If you're familiar with Disney, this reminded me a lot of a cross between Monster's Inc Laugh Floor and It's Tough to Be a Bug. There's a live host that can see and interact with the audience, plus there's special effects like bubbles, confetti, water spray, and something moving in the seat.

The villain ended up being Victor Von Sauer who wants to turn all of the Hershey's Chocolate sour.
Once we caught the villain, Reese asked what we should do with him. Our audience was pretty harsh. "Kill Him!" "Eat Him! (he did get covered in chocolate)".

There's not many videos I could find of the actual presentation, but here's something.
It was a cute movie. For about $7 each, it was good enough to do once. With a live host, I'm sure there's some variation in each showing, but I don't think it's enough for a repeat.

And just like you'd hope, when you leave the workers are handing out snack-size Hershey Bars.

Our last visit inside the Hershey Chocolate World is at the Hershey Kitchens and Bakery. At the kitchens they have some giant cookies loaded with all sorts of Hershey's chocolates.

And right beside it you can have a worker "Stuff your Cup" with a whole bunch of flavors for $19.95.

Using a large chocolate shell for the bottom, the worker will grab a huge dollop of Reese's peanut butter and add up to 4 of your favorite mix-ins. Instead of sealing the top, you can choose Marshmallow, Caramel, or Fudge topping. So it's kind-of like a chocolate bowl filled with peanut butter.

The kids have really been excited about making their own candy bar! There's so much to write about there that I'm going to have to cover it in a separate post.

Right next to Hershey's Chocolate World is Hersheypark. If we're back this way in the future, we might have to check it out.

But for now we can go see what's in Chocolatetown!

One of the places that was smelling delicious was this Chocolatetown Treats stand.

Here they had a hand-rolled chocolate filled pretzel ($5) and a hot cinnamon bread ($8).

We started with the chocolate filled pretzel. It was so good! Who needs cheese or mustard to dip a pretzel in when it could be filled with chocolate instead.

Since that was so good, Rita bought a Cinnamon bread. There's no chocolate in here, so why do they even have it here? Because it's yummy!
Reviews were split. Some liked the pretzel and others liked the cinnamon bread. We all agreed they were delicious.

Hmm, which one is The Beast? It does make it difficult to fit into a regular size parking spot.

I think we all loved our visit to Hershey's Chocolate World! When Ian learned there were different Hershey Chocolate World locations across the globe (Las Vegas, New York City, Niagara Falls Canada, and Singapore) he wanted to visit them all! This one is the coolest though. With the Factory Tour, 4D movie, and Make Your Own Candy Bar, this location in Hershey Pennsylvania is the best!

  1. Wow...surrounded by so many Hershey's treats...guess that 5 lb Hershey's candy bar is just the right size :-)...kind of deceptive advertising on "World's largest KitKat"! The 4D movie looked cute and fun, especially for the detective-minded Ian & Alli. That Reese's PB bowl...oh my, that's a lot of PB. Those Reese's sweat bottoms look perfect for the Halloween season! Love that opening photo of the family with those Hershey's characters...liked how everyone had their "own pose" and fit right in with the scenery. Mmmmmmmmmmmm...that chocolate-filled soft pretzel looks really, really good! Congrats on garnering those top searches on the Kisses and Reese's size comparisons...getting famous! :-) Can't wait to see the "Create your own candy bar" masterpieces! Such a fun day! EOM

  2. Avaoline: My family and I went to Hershey’s Chocolate World in June 22 2021. We saw the 4D chocolate mystery and we saw Reese on the big screen, after the bubbles and confetti Reese asked what could we do for this von sour guy but my little sister Ella Salinas says “Kill him!” And that was brutal to him. Reese: No! Not kill him. And Ella replied “Eat him!” And that’s why he’s covered in chocolate. Then we decided to safe him. But it’s a good 4D movie. And also we create our own chocolate bars, mines is AvaOline’s created chocolate bar. And that was our one of our memories of our Road trip.
