We've done Snickers. We've done Reese's. We've even done M&Ms. Now it's time to pick another candy bar and try as many of them as we can find!
Today's candy taste test will be the Milky Way bar! My brother Patrick's favorite candy bar is the Milky Way, so this will be the perfect test to try with him!
There were five different Milky Way candy bars that I was able to find. Today we're trying the classic Milky Way, Milky Way Simply Caramel, Milky Way Salted Caramel, Milky Way Fudge, and Milky Way Midnight.
I couldn't find a Milky Way Simply Caramel bar in any size other than the small snack sizes. And the Milky Way Midnight is looking a little worse for wear from all that traveling in the RV. I'm sure it'll still taste delicious.
Avery said "Mmm! I get that at school".
Who gives you candy at school?
She got a little quiet after that.
This is a good taste test to have with coffee.
Next there is Milky Way Simply Caramel. It's "Real Milk Chocolate surrounding nothing but delicious Caramel."
Ian's looking forward to this one. He thinks it's going to be his favorite.
Ian - I like this taste test. My favorite so far is Simply Caramel.
I was surprised because he loves the nougat in 3 Musketeers.
The Milky Way Salted Caramel is next. Milk Chocolate, Creamy Caramel, Crunchy Salt, Smooth Nougat.
Oooh, I do like those crunchy salt crystals.
Megan has a disgusted look on her face. She's not a fan of this extra salty caramel.
Mickey - That one is okay, but I like the Original best.
Sheila - I like that extra salt.
Milky Way Fudge has Milk Chocolate, Creamy Caramel, and Fudge Nougat. You can see that the nougat is quite a bit darker than the regular nougat.
Avery - Isn't it good?
Joe - It tastes like a Tootsie Roll.
Patrick - I'm also getting a Chick-Fil-A brownie flavor.
I didn't remember that the Midnight bars had vanilla nougat. That's quite different than the Original. And I don't know if it's the lighting or what, but the caramel does look more golden than the Original caramel too.
Patrick said these are his absolute favorite candy bar, replacing Reese's Fastbreak.
Megan liked this one because the chocolate in the other ones is too sweet.

Fudge - Everyone voted it the least favorite of all 5 candy bars.
Flavors I could not find: Milky Way Caramel Apple, Milky Way French Vanilla and Caramel, Milky Way Marshmallow, and Milky Way Ice Cream Bars.
Definitely the perfect taste test for a Milky Way fan like Patrick. The Midnight and Original Milky Way sound like yummy choices for me. Oops...looks like Avery let the cat out of the bag on the school candy :-) The Milky Way Marshmallow which couldn't be found sounds like something I'd like to try, too! That was a fun, sweet taste test. EOM
