Happy Sunday! We are back to traveling again and today we're in Arizona! I've been enjoying doing pizzas that are themed to the state we're visiting, and I think I can come up with something for Arizona. My main ingredient is something I have no experience cooking with, but I'm excited to give it a try.
Time to travel to our next location! It's a special one too! We're visiting the Petrified National Forest!
On the road again. Just can't wait to get on the road again! It's time to continue our westward journey.
I have a few more Colorado stories to share, so you'll have to forgive the timeline incontinuities as I post, but I'm starting to fall too far behind on our travels.
We've loved our time in Colorado, but it's time to start wrapping up our trip here.
Today we're celebrating Alli and Ian's half birthday! We already spent the first part of the day the Bowling Alley and then the Arcade. Now it's time to head home and eat their favorite dinner and desserts, then open presents!
The kids had a great time with the first half of their birthday celebration at the bowling alley section of The Summit. Now it's time to move on to the part that they've been talking about at home for the last few days. The arcade! They've been explaining all the different games they played, and talking about their favorites. Now they get to play them again!
Happy Half Birthday Alli and Ian! With birthdays that are towards the end of the year, they get a little blurred into the holidays. A few years ago Theresa and I decided that we'd celebrate their half birthdays with a party and presents from us, and on their real birthdays we can have a smaller celebration. The date is a bit flexible depending on whatever we want to do, and since we're here in Colorado for a few more days, why not celebrate with everyone here!
They had so much fun with Megan and Patrick earlier in the week at the arcade that we thought they'd love a return trip. Megan took the week off work and Avery is with her and ready to join us!

We're in Colorado, having returned from a weeklong trip to Michigan. When Theresa's Emo (Korean Aunt - Mom's Sister) heard we were in town, she was quick to bring us dinner!
If you ask Ian what he misses most about California, he's quick to tell you that it's his friends. Specifically a couple friends from his Kindergarten class.
So when Lola and her mom sent us a request to help them out with a school project, Ian and Alli were both thrilled!
Pizza Day again! Today I felt like throwing the whole kitchen sink into a pizza. All my favorite toppings including Pepperoni, Sausage, Bacon, Pineapple, and Goat Cheese. And instead of using one sauce for a base I chose three! Pesto, Alfredo, and Marinara! I bet it's going to be delicious!

This year, we'll be in a new location, Animation Alley, for our special mural. A year ago, Ruston requested this circular spot at the base of the stairs! I've dropped a pin so you can find us exactly! Find it here!
Come say hi on either Saturday or Sunday. On Saturday, many of the artists will be hard at work, trying to complete their mural and you can see the process in action. On Sunday many of the drawings will be complete and you can view the finished product! Both days are fun! Hope to see you there!
It's not all fun and games while we're back in Colorado. We've been on the road for about a year now, and Theresa and I need to give the RV a clean-up. We are also planning on going through all the drawers and bins and see what we've been hauling around that we don't need.
While we're busy with all that, Pat and Megan said they'd take the kids for the day. Awesome! They started their day at a nearby park!
Recently the kids remade Baby Hot Dogs in the RV. They told their cousin Avery about them and said that they'd have to make them together when we met up. Today is that day! We're making baby hot dogs with Avery!
It's time for another pizza day! We're always trying to think of tasty new combinations of ingredients for our pizza nights. My brother Patrick, who loves anything Pesto, suggested this one. A base of Pesto, topped with mozzarella and goat cheese, followed by strawberries. It was delicious!
Today we are tasting a brand new flavor of Mountain Dew and I'm excited for it! I love pineapple and today's taste test is Mtn Dew Maui Burst!
The kids have had lots of fun adventures on the road and they also like sharing what they can with others. They loved making chocolate covered strawberries for Easter and wanted to make them again with Avery! Theresa's going to get them all set up and walk them through it.
I've been having lots of fun baking for the last couple years. There's been something I've wanted to try for a while, but had held off until I had the right audience and the right ingredients.
Brazilian Cheese Bites! My Colorado family loves fresh bread and cheesy things. Perfect!
Time for us to head back to Colorado from Michigan. We'll be spending a couple more weeks here before we get back onto the road in our quest to make it to the West Coast.
Remember those cookies Rita made that were just for me? Just for me. They came out a short time later on the plane, with many of them going to the kids and Theresa.
While Theresa was grocery shopping one week, she found a brand new kind of Snickers Bar for us to taste! Snickers Cinnamon Bun!
That's pretty impressive because we've already tried a bunch of Snickers flavors including Original, Hazelnut, Almond, Crunchy Peanut Butter, Creamy Peanut Butter, Creamy Almond Butter, Peanut Brownie, Dark Chocolate Almond Brownie, Snickers White, Snickers Ice Cream Bar, and Snickers Peanut Brownie Ice Cream Bar. That's 11 different kinds! And we tried almost all of them with Grandpa and Grammy! Gotta save this new one for when we get to Michigan and see them again!
We're in Michigan for a week long vacation! While the RV is safely stored away in Colorado, we flew here to visit with family!
Sundays are always pizza days whether we're in the RV or hanging out with people. And so on Sunday I got to work making lots of thin crust pizza for everyone to enjoy. I made the dough and rolled it out super flat. Theresa, Ethan, and anyone else who was around added whatever topping they liked.
It's summertime and it's probably hot where you are right now. Today we've got a really fun taste test! It's one I've had in mind for a little while.
I love milkshakes and there's one fast food place that is super well known for making the best milkshakes in the industry. Steak 'n Shake!
Steak 'n Shake has 17 different milkshake flavors on its regular menu and today we're going to try them all!
We're in Michigan visiting family and one of the things Ian has been asking for repeatedly is to be able to go out fishing. Non-stop. What day can we go fishing? When are we going fishing? Can we go out fishing?
Well today is your lucky day buddy. Tyler tagged up with a buddy of his and arranged a boat for them to all go out on. Thanks Mr. Joe for letting us go on your boat! Let's go fishing!
Didn't we just get to Colorado? Just a few days ago we completed our long trip from Orlando Florida to Colorado Springs Colorado in the RV. Since we're planning to crash here for a few weeks, we decided to take the opportunity to head up to Michigan to see all that family again. Pop Pop and Gram drove us up to the Denver airport.
Cheez-It is making something new! They have taken their classic square Cheez-Its and puffed them up!
