Jumping ahead just a little bit in our summer travels to July. We're in Buffalo New York to see Niagara Falls! And it's my birthday! To celebrate, we're headed over to the Canadian side! I'll have a more detailed write-up later, but wanted to get this one out.
When I woke up, the kids had birthday cards waiting for me.
Then it was time for an adventure! Off to Niagara Falls! We’ve seen it from the American side before, but the kids haven’t been to the Canadian side! We walked across the Rainbow Bridge and had a great view!
Theresa found a great cake shop in Canada. We all got something different and tried everyone’s! The tiramisu was a favorite of everyone, but no one was disappointed with anything.
A big part of our enjoyment of the falls is hanging out on a blanket and relaxing. We just hung out for an hour while people busily walked past.
We had one spot picked out on the grass for the nightly fireworks, but the police came and shuffled everyone out of the area. We got another spot right against the rope. It was a great view with no one in front of us!
Happy (belated) Birthday, Joe!!! What a fun and different way to celebrate your birthday...seeing lovely rainbows and beautiful waterfalls from Canada (those Niagara Falls are such a natural beauty!)...enjoying some delicious dessert (tiramisu is my pick, hands down :-) )...ending the evening with a bang, a fireworks show!! The last photo gives new meaning to "one foot in, and one foot out" :-) Such a great birthday celebration!! EOM
