In our quest to try everything that is Cinnamon Toast Crunch (seriously, check it out), I came upon yet another new item. Cinnamon Toast Crunch Yogurt! Will this be as delicious as the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Ice Cream? Or a bit of a dud like the CTC Treat Bars? Let's give it a taste and find out!
Megan - It smells like Dunkaroos.
Joe - So like vanilla frosting?
Megan - Like a cream cheesy flavor.
Huh. I was expecting Cinnamon flavored yogurt. This looks like plain vanilla.
And the ingredient list also says this is just low fat yogurt and Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal pieces.
Let's taste it anyway.
Megan - There is a little cinnamon in it.
Joe - Huh! It certainly doesn't look it. It looks like plain white yogurt. But it does have a cinnamon roll frosting kind of flavor. And a cinnamon flavor to it.
Patrick - Must be one of the natural flavors.
Patrick - Probably my favorite cereal.
Alli - I like the normal Cinnamon Toast Crunch better, but the yogurt is pretty good.
Megan - I want it to be thicker yogurt.
Joe - Like a greek yogurt consistency?
Megan - Or Fage.
Mickey - The yogurt masks the cinnamon.
Sheila - I like that. And the Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I don't know which I like better. The yogurt, or the yogurt with the cereal mixed in.
Mickey - I'm not a big fan. I would rather have milk with my cereal instead of yogurt.
Patrick - Did you compare the cereal pieces to see if they're actually the same cereal?
Joe - Yes, they taste the same.
Theresa - Do you like the yogurt by itself or with Cinnamon Toast Crunch on it?
Alli - Both.
Joe - I'd say Cinnamon Toast Crunch Yogurt is not bad. I think you could probably make it yourself pretty easily.
Megan - I'd give it an 8 out of 10. But I'd pick my own yogurt and put Cinnamon Toast Crunch on it.
Sheila - But it may not be as good, cause there's a little taste to that. I would eat the yogurt before I'd eat the cereal plain.
Megan - Maybe the Greek Gods yogurt. The Honey Vanilla one would be good with this.
If you see this Cinnamon Toast Crunch yogurt and like Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, why not give it a try?
The yogurt's appearance was a little deceptive by hiding the subtle cinnamon flavor within it...sounds like the yogurt, itself, could stand on its own. Overall, the CTC yogurt combination wasn't too bad. But Megan's idea of picking your own yogurt to mix w/ the CTC cereal could probably yield some yummy surprises (or do the reverse, and pick a different cereal and mix it with the CTC yogurt portion.)...lots of combinations beyond one's imagination! EOM
