Celebrating Ethan graduating from college!

Today is a big day! Today we get to celebrate Ethan and his accomplishments, graduating from the University of Michigan!

And we're all super glad that we can be here for it because he missed out on having a big graduation ceremony from high school. He graduated in 2020, when the country was in full Covid lockdown. Everyone wanted to come see this graduation, but graduates only got 5 tickets. You can request more, but nothing is guaranteed. So, Ethan worked hard to get more for everyone, going in and requesting more multiple times, getting more from friends who wouldn't be using all theirs, etc. In the end, he was able to acquire 19 more tickets! He's got a big cheering section!

It's a winter graduation and thank goodness it's inside! Outside the temperature isn't going above 26F!

The graduates walked in to a band of bagpipes.

There was an amazing singing of the National Anthem.

And we had an inspirational commencement speech by former graduate Henry J. Maier, the former president and CEO of FedEx Ground.

Then it was time for the graduates to walk!
And you can bet, when Ethan was announced, he had the loudest cheering section in the entire field house!

Congratulations Ethan!

My video from our seats.

And the official graduation ceremony video from U of M. Ethan walk at timestamp 1:19:40.

Afterwards we all met up to get photos. So proud of you!

We're excited for him and whatever the future will bring.

During the spring graduations, there's a long line to get graduation photos by the big M sign. The cold is keeping most people away.

Time for lots of photos with family!

With his big sis!

Do it Ethan!

You earned it!

Back home, we're having a small celebration before we have a bigger one on Sunday. Aubrey and Jared got the house decorated for him.

Augie (5 year old cousin) asked - Is it his birthday? Is he turning 24?

We're happy to be here to celebrate you Ethan!
