2024 Summer Road Trip - Delaware - 2024/08/12

It's another travel day as we continue our trip across the US and try to close out our RV map. We're almost done! 

From New Jersey, it was a short 2ish hour drive into Delaware. 

And we're just squeezing into Delaware. Sandwiching between the 15 miles of land between Maryland and New Jersey, we have arrived at our campground. 

We're at Lums Pond State Campground. 

And we're backed up to this giant field! 

Hmm, something to do in Delaware. I mean, there's always Chuck E Cheese. 

And thank goodness we're out of New Jersey. Now we have cheese bread with marinara sauce instead of ketchup. 

And the games actually pay out the proper amount of tickets, instead of a set amount no matter what you score. 

Both Ian and I are pretty good at Pop the Lock. He's probably a little better than I am. 

And there's even an Avenger's Coin Pusher! 

Where we can win more than 4 tickets on the big prize wheel! 

Ultimately the game had some issues and so we even got to see the insides of this cabinet. I like it when  the kids can see inside and look at the electronics. Knowing that it's all just wires and circuit boards that control these things helps to see that it's not some magic box that makes things happen, but something they could understand with a little bit of schooling. 

One more stop before we go home. There's a Trader Joe's here and we have a new favorite dessert! Chocolate covered banana slices! 

How many do we need Theresa? 

Well, it was a quick stop in Delaware, but we stayed overnight, so that's what counts for us in the RV.
